Fruto del Blackfriday y el Cybermonday (oferton y curiosidad a partes iguales) he adquirido este pequeño pero completisimo Kit de Arduino para principiantes, es simplemente fascinante, desde la presentacion del Kit a la calidad de los componentes, el punto flojo es la documentación inexistente, la lista de componentes y nada es lo mismo (buscar en la carpeta del "kit uno" que viene una hoja con los componentes de forma gráfica y documentados), tienes que acudir a su website y buscar la carpeta K21 donde usando Word online lo puedes guardar todo en RTF o PDF para poder manejarlo en cualquier dispositivo, tablet, Mac, étc.

Tienen un kit mas sencillo con el Arduino Uno (este es el Arduino Mega 2560) que lo lleva todo en un CD y es mas indicado para niños y adolescentes sin ningun conocimiento en esta materia. Tutelado por un profesor, esto resulta ser una gozada para los crios, lo dicen padres y profesores, es seguro enredar con estos componentes, todo muy compacto y en su caja con bandeja y separadores, cabe en un cajon o una estanteria y se recoje todo en 1 minuto.

Lleva de todo (Kumantech ofrece otro kit con sensores variados, una vez que le cojas el aire a esto), Arduino es la alternativa popular y low cost a Raspeberry Pi, en la red hay ejemplos, tutoriales, simuladores y todo lo que se te ocurra para enredar con este kit y sacarle el 110%, de paso es un curso basico de electronica digital s.XXI y programación que no tiene precio. Kumantech es quien mayor numero de kits oferta en la red, bien en su web, bien en Amazon. Tratar con ellos directamente ha tenido sus ventajas, precio y rapidez en el envio, aparte puedes preguntar lo que necesites.

No se necesitan herramientas especiales que no tengas en casa, pero yo he aprovechado y he actualizado cosas como mi viejo multimetro, un hierro de soldar, set de destornilladores,étc. a precios tales como 6.33,7.24,4.50 y similares, todo Made in China pero con una relacion precio/calidad superior a lo que he visto en los chinos de mi ciudad, via GearBest, Banggood o Aliexpress que son precios muy asequibles para chicos y mayores. He disfrutado mirando la amplisima oferta que unos y otros ofrecen en herramientas y componentes para Arduino y he completado compras en comercios locales especializados donde la oferta y los precios estaban sorprendentemente en linea con lo visto en la red.

Si mirais en la red, Kumantech es el que tiene la mayor oferta de Kits, cuestion de mirar que llevan y que cuestan, mi experiencia con ellos es my buena, el aeropuerto local de Shenguen les devolvio el envio y cuando cayeron en la cuenta repitieron el mismo via Hong Kong - Londres con envio preferente, llegando a mis manos en 10 dias, la comunicación y la cordialidad ha sido máxima.  

Buen complemento para hispanohablantes es conseguir los PDFs de Cekit en la red, una verdadera enciclopedia que complementa los Kits de Arduino y que hace todo esto un hobby relajante y apasionante independientemente de la edad que tengas, si te gusta enredar y el cacharreo es la mejor terapia para olvidarse de todo y disfrutar con el hagaselo vd. mismo (DIY), he arreglado 3 radios y una pletina tras refrescar mis conocimientos de electronica basica con este Kit, en YouTube teneis verdaderas maravillas para orientaros, disfrutareis y recuperareis algunos de esos chismes averiados.

I am a teacher at a rural junior / senior high school. I run a robotics program, but between competitive seasons, I was looking for something for a few of my students to try out. I saw this kit, and thought that it would be a great addition to my program! I showed it to my students, and they were super excited for me to order it. When the kit arrived, I handed it over to a group of four 8th grade girls. This was intended to be a self-directed learning activity - and so far it's working very well! When you give kids the opportunity to figure things out, experiment, take risks, and direct their own learning, they are so much more engaged, and learn at a deeper level!

I've had the kit for a little under a week, and the students have completed three different projects builds. I have enjoyed watching them research and figure out how to make everything work. They did have some difficulty getting started, because they weren't really sure what the first thing should be to get going. But being resourceful kids, they went online and started looking up projects and videos and ideas for this kit. They found lots of ideas, but then had to narrow it down to beginner level projects. It didn't take them long to figure out the programming requirements, and then they were up and running!

My students' feedback: They like how much "stuff" you get in this kit; that you can do a lot. They feel like they are being challenged, and that they are learning a great deal. One of my students is now interested in pursuing a career in the field of electronics, as a result of her experience with this kit. They wish that the kit came with a booklet of ideas, though they did find things on the internet to do.

I highly recommend this kit! I look forward to this summer when I can sit down with the kit and learn how to do this myself!
