I am impressed with quality of this screen and works well with the Paspberry Pi 3 B+. It took a while though to get it work, as you need to make some changes in terminal. being a novice it took a bit to work it out, but once I did the screen looks great.

I believe that the display driver package included is for wheezy and not jessie as it would not work properly when I tried it two times. Third time I ended up having to change some code to get it to work for jessie.

For the $60 Canadian I paid though its a great addition to my Raspberry Pi, just don't expect out of the box/plug in ready. You need to have some patience and do some coding to get it to work!

What a great set for my raspberry pi. The screen comes with everything you need to get your raspberry pi (not sold with it) to have it's own small screen and no need to attach it to anything else. Will be great to use for many projects I have in mind. The screen quality is okay and I had no issues using it and simple to set up mostly just plug and go and your set.

I have received this product at a discounted rate for my honest review and they are fully my own opinions. I treat all products as though I have paid for them in full and test them thoroughly. I take my all my reviews seriously and all opinions are mine and mine alone. I received no monetary compensation and I am not required to give a good review or hold anything back.

If your willing to work with the coding a bit for raspberry Pi this item is great if you give up easily walk away.

This item is not plug an play, yes it will power on and show a test image but to fully use the item you must do some extra work.

the item comes with a cd that has a variety of driver, and operating systems. when i booted up the disk it said 3.5 resistive touch. now this is clearly wrong becuase i order a 5" display. after trying to use the custom versions of jessie OS that were on the cd. i had no luck i was able to see that the lcd would get an image but it was cropped or it was not booting into the home screen.

what i ended up doing was installing a clean version of jessie os from the Raspberry Pi Site. then going on the cd and coping over the driver for the lcd. and then opened the config file from the cd and copied it to my config file on my pi.

after that the lcd and touch works great, within the raspberry pi menu there is a calibration program you can run to calibrate the screen. in the window box there is a screen that says you can save the calibration at the following file but i was unable to find said file folder, so i have to run the config every time i reboot the device or power it down.

The Kuman 5" touchscreen arrived in excellent packaging, with all necessary elements to immediately hook it up to raspberry pi (my project) or other mini computer project, including a space-saving designed HDMI setup with necessary HDMI connectors, as well as mounting hardware and a small stylus pen. The entire project fits nicely together when all components are connected, with the screen slimly aligned along the top side of the raspberry pi, eliminating the need for (or ability to use) a top part of a case. The screen works flawlessly from the very first boot up, with good colors and clarity for a screen of its size and price. I am still learning how to work with raspberry pi and using the screen, so I will update this as required. However, upon first impressions and some use, I feel absolutely comfortable giving it a full 5 stars at this time!
